6 Myths Why People Avoid Using CBD

CBD News, CBD Tips

There are countless articles about the reasons why people are using CBD. But lets take a look at some of the myths about why people are choosing not to use CBD oil.?

CBD Myth #1: It’s not safe

Nobody one wants to ingest something that may be harmful. Particularly something that should make them feel better. In general CBD is well-tolerated with a good safety profile. Here is a quote from the World Health Organization. “To date, there is no evidence of recreational use of CBD or any public health-related problems associated with the use of pure CBD“.
Some side effects with CBD include drowsiness, dry mouth, and in rare cases diarrhea. As always consult with your doctor about other medications interacting with CBD.

CBD Myth #2: It’s illegal

The 2018 U.S. Farm Bill legalized the growing and processing of hemp nationwide. As a result hemp derived CBD availability has exploded. But not all states play nice with the new rule. For example, if you live in Idaho, you could be arrested for using CBD. Also in South Dakota they just passed new legislation but it’s still unclear on whether you can be arrested or not. Aside from those two CBD is widely accepted.

CBD Myth #3: It gets you high

THC is the compound found in cannabis that gets you high. The 2018 Farm Bill only allows cannabis Hemp strains that contain a trace amount (.3% or less) of THC. This small amount is not enough to produce an intoxicating effect.

CBD Myth #4: It will make me fail a drug test at work

Technically this one is not a myth. If you use Full-Spectrum CBD then there is a very slight chance you could test positive. However, if you use a THC FREE CBD like Broad-Spectrum or Isolate than no, you won’t test positive.

CBD Myth #5: I don’t think it’ll work for me

You may be right. Everybody is different, and what may improve the life of one person may not do anything for another. We encourage you to be your own doctor. Do the research on CBD, read some studies, and consult with your local Hemp dispensary. Often if you visit a local hemp store they’ll provide free samples.

CBD Myth #6: It’s too expensive

There is value in knowing choosing a trusted brand.  Priceland Hemp is a boutique regional brand born in Wisconsin. Our propriety blends appeal to a significant number of returning and new customers. Our inhouse control of small batches has allowed us to remain competitively on the low to mid-range end of the pricing spectrum.

We do not sacrifice quality. The process from Seed, to Harvest, to Extraction, to Testing, to Shelf, to Ship involves many layers of cost. Yes, high-quality CBD is an investment and our hope is that the value it brings in terms of health benefits will be well worth it. We encourage you to shop around, you’ll find that many of the national brands are priced much higher than Priceland.
